Our Story
For close to a decade while filming in the south, Ian and Paul drank bourbon together on and off screen. Through their deep sense of brotherhood and shared love of bourbon, they formed a vision of crafting an exceptional whiskey company.
This prompted them to embark on a meticulous journey of visiting distilleries, experimenting with various mash bills, and hand-selecting whiskeys for their final blends.
The goal: to create a bourbon that epitomized elegance, exceptional smoothness, complexity, and balance—one that would captivate the most discerning bourbon enthusiasts.
Ian and Paul embraced an entirely hands-on approach to their venture.
The brand was their sole vision; From blending the bourbon in Ian’s kitchen over the course of a year to developing the label, sourcing the glass, and selecting the name, their involvement was all-encompassing. They sought out advice from friends in the industry and ensured a holistic connection to their brand.
Launched in May 2021, Brother’s Bond Bourbon has quickly gained acclaim with three award-winning expressions, now available in 49 states. The brand has garnered prestigious accolades, including Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2022, 2023, and 2024, Double Gold and Best in Show Finalist at the 2023 New York World Spirits Competition, Double Platinum at the 2024 ASCOT, Platinum & Best in Show at the 2023 TAG Awards, Double Gold at the 2023 International Wine & Spirits Competition and Double Gold at the 2024 NYISC. With ratings ranging from 92-98 from spirits journalists, Brother’s Bond has become the most followed spirit brand on Instagram, with over 1.93 million followers.
Beyond crafting exceptional spirits, Brother's Bond has woven a narrative of time and quality, committing to contribute a portion of proceeds to support regenerative farming practices, aiming to make a positive impact on the environment. In 2024, Brother’s Bond became one of the first bourbon brands to begin using regenerative grain in select expressions.
